Jack Britt student wanted for assault

e-mail print friendly

Fayetteville police issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for a Jack Britt High School student who was involved in a fight.

Brandon Hallenbeck, 17, allegedly assaulted a teacher and a school-resource officer Dec. 15 when they tried to break up a fight between him and another student.

Police used a Taser to subdue Hallenbeck. "He just started whaling on this teacher," a police spokeswoman said.

What happened to WRAL and WTVD when you need them to report this on the news. If it was a student from another district their pictures would have made the 6:00 and 11:00 news. What a shame! The logic behind him not being detained at the scene is the negative attention it would bring to a school district that has the highest academic standards in the county. If it was a Seventy First or Westover student their pictures would be shown.

Yes, that is my question also. How did this one get away with all that tasering and manpower around?? If he got all that "Hulk" power, he needs to be off the streets for the holidays for our safety.

about 20 stitches across the base of his skull would have subdued him, got him off of the teacher, and sent a message to other violent kids that want to attack a teacher.

You are getting tasered and so you start hitting a teacher? Makes no sense. Sounds to me like bad parenting--unfortunatly its too late for him.

I suppose there is a logical, though unreported reason, he was not detained at the scene of the crime!?!?
