Lillington, N.C. — Harnett County authorities have arrested one man for a home invasion in Lillington Thursday night.
Sheriff's deputies charged Maurice Devonte Purcell, 18, of Sanford, Monday with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.
Purcell is believed to be one of four people who entered a home at 232 Tacia Drive while Derrick Womack and his family were home.
Womack said he saw two men on his porch and another two in his yard. He shot in the hand, taken to a hospital, treated and later released.
Two of the suspects were also shot, police said, and two others fled the scene.
More arrests are pending in the case, the sheriff's office said Monday.
