Site SearchRaleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police on Friday afternoon were investigating the scene where a body was found in woods off of the 4800 block of Thornton Commons Drive.
Police spokesman Jim Sughrue said police received a report early Friday and discovered human remains in a wooded area.
Thornton Commons Drive is east of Capital Boulevard in the north end of the city.
The identity of the body is being withheld pending notification of family, Sughrue said.
No further details were available.
