One of two men charged in the shooting death of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill senior Eve Carson will be arraigned Tuesday morning in U.S. District Court in Greensboro.

Demario James Atwater, 22, faces federal charges of carjacking resulting in death in connection with Carson's March 5 slaying. The charges carry a potential death sentence if he is found guilty.

Investigators believe Atwater and another man, Laurence Alvin Lovette Jr, then 17, kidnapped the 22-year-old and forced her to withdraw $1,400 from ATMs before shooting her five times, including once in the head, near UNC's campus.

Orange County District Attorney Jim Woodall has said he is also seeking the death penalty on state charges related to the crime, which include first-degree murder, robbery and kidnapping.

You obviously don't know what oxymoron means dataclerk.

"My prayers are for you that you will be able to stand on your on two feet without a wall holding you up. Toodles. lol" There should have been a "two feets" in there somewhere.

Sometimes you just have to read those posts and laugh. It almost sounds like it was a "Deep Thoughts, By Jack Handy" bit.

Why do you always tell people what to do? And "mine's?" Seriously? Dr plus Dataclerk equal Oxymoron

Apparently you are an oxymoron. I am no such thing. But thanks for letting us all know what you desire. I cannot tell you what to do. Do you have a mind? Then I suggest you use it favorably. You have low esteem to feel that way. My prayers are for you that you will be able to stand on your on two feet without a wall holding you up. Toodles. lol

I am still saying life in prison without parole would be better served for both boys. I write to young men that is in prison for life. They don't like it. They really wish they were on the outside and not in the prison world. They are always in fights and then they will have to face the consequences of that. Putting someone to death, put that person in the same shoes as a murderer. Just as long as the criminals is off the streets, regardless of my tax dollars, they are going no where, many just died in prison and then buried in a pauper's grave yard. There is no fun in prison. Life is just simply passing them by. You just can about go crazy in prison. There are many rules and regulations to follow. You break a rule and you pay the consequences. There is a little work. So times slowly drifts by them each day. There is no one in the prison world that cares for them, they are lonely. Most turned to the Lord, hoping for whatever.
