Carrboro, N.C. — N.C. Highway 54 west of Carrboro in Orange County re-opened by 11 a.m. after an early morning wreck blocked the road in both directions for the Tuesday morning commute.
Carrboro Fire-Rescue units arrived on the scene at 3:45 a.m. A tractor-trailer overturned, but no one was injured, no fuel was leaking and the truck was not hauling freight that posed any risk to people or the environment, fire officials said.
Fire officials said they did not know what caused the crash.
