Gunmen forced women to undress, Selma police say

print friendly

Selma police believe that armed, masked men targeted homes occupied by women during two break-ins early Friday.

Investigators said that two men wearing ski masks and armed with handguns broke into homes on Teal Court and Southern Street within three hours of each other.

In each instance, the men forced women to take off their clothes at gunpoint, police said. One woman told police that she was fondled.

The gunmen also took cash and jewelry from the women.

No one was injured, police said.

Officers said that they believe both incidents are connected and that they were actively searching for the gunmen.

Were these 2 men white, black or hispanic?

I agree with scarlet.

Scarlet you said exactly what I was thinking. As a woman, I can guarantee you these women were emotionally and psychologically injured by the sheer terror and incredible violation they experienced today. You do NOT have to be physically injured to be "injured."

I agree. I am glad they were not injured and that the report was clear on that. Now on to catching the creeps!

Come on, Scarlet. It's not the officers' job when reporting something like this to be sensitive and caring. He's reporting the details. The ladies may have been scared senseless, but they were not injured.
