Rougemont, N.C. — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries Friday morning after he was struck by a vehicle on New Sharon Church Road near Bill Poole Road in northeastern Orange County, state troopers and EMS workers said.
The accident was reported at 8:49 a.m., the Highway Patrol said.
A helicopter flew the victim to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, but no condition was immediately available.
Troopers were investigating and did not have other details, including the man's identity, Friday morning.
