Fort Bragg, N.C. — Army authorities are investigating the death of an 82nd Airborne Division paratrooper who was found unresponsive in his barracks over the weekend.
Pfc. Christopher R. Klassen, 21, of Ballwin, Mo., was found in his room next to Messina Street on Ft. Bragg. No other details of the case were released.
Klassen was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment Regiment, 18th Fires Brigade. He enlisted in January 2007 and arrived to the unit in August 2007.
He is survived by his mother and sister, Amy and Jennifer Klassen of St. Charles, Mo., and his father, Donald Klassen of St. Petersburg, Fla.
