Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County sheriff’s detectives were investigating a weekend shooting that left one man in serious condition.
Investigators were called to a home at 2649 Cameron Woods Lane around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
They say the victim suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the stomach. Authorities did not release his name.
Emergency crews took the man by helicopter to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill for treatment.
Detectives were trying to determine what led to the shooting.
Deputies said they were questioning a person who was believed to be the shooter. No charges have been filed.
