Tekenya Wooten missing 12-year-old 10/21

Durham, N.C. — Durham police announced Friday morning that a missing 12-year-old girl has been found unharmed.

Investigators had been searching for Tekenya Wooten, whom they believe ran away from her home at 3529 Manford Drive, since Saturday.

Tekenya is eight months pregnant.

this young lady ran a way from a group home. I am sure there were problems in the home and poor parenting, which could explain why she is pregnant at 12. If you haven't had the opportunity to work with our youth of the day, I encourage you to volunteer in a elementary or middle school. Kids are more sexual than ever. Why? Poor parenting. charity begins at home, plain and simple. Wanna bet she is perpetuating a vicious cycle of teen pregnancy? Instead of asking why, let's just pray for her!

I think we're all missing the point here. We're talking about a 12 year old girl here, who's about to give birth to a child. What the devil is a 12 year old girl (or possibly 11 at conception) doing having unprotected sex, or any kind of sex for that matter, in the first place!!! There is something seriously wrong here!!!

Who knows what happened but if a girl runs away there is something off. It's heartbreaking to hear stuff like this. May God give her courage and strength. Too young to understand everything too.

It is entirely possible that there are no parents to blame. Fortunately she is in the hands of people who can help her now.
