Tekenya Wooten missing 12-year-old 10/21

Durham, N.C. — Durham Police are looking for a pregnant 12-year-old girl, who is believed to have run away from her home at 3529 Manford Drive Oct. 18.

Tekenya Wooten is described as black, 5-foot-1 and 100 pounds. She is eight months pregnant.

When last seen, she was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and silver shoes. Her hair was in a ponytail.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts should contact Detective T.M. Ochman at 919-560-4440 ext. 289 or Durham Crime Stoppers at 919-683-1200.

This is a really sad story. I am wondering why they think she ran away? Did her parents finaly give her some rules she did not like?? Clearly they did not care what she did before as if that was true she would not be in this particular situation.

I hope this turns out to be just a missing child report and not one of a dead one. Oh and by the way...no photo? Oh never mind she is 12 and pregnant and can not show her face. Good luck trying to find her this way. Why bother with the report without a photo?
