Site SearchRocky Mount, N.C. — A Rocky Mount man was shot outside his apartment Thursday night, police said.
Zakiy Ahmad McClain, 27, ran to a neighbor's house for help after being shot at 509-A Rose St. shortly before 11:30 p.m.
McClain was taken to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville and remained in critical condition.
Police said they continue to investigate the shooting.
Anyone who saw the incident or has information about it was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111 or Capt. Martin McCoy at 252-972-1485.
