The Highway Patrol next week will begin “Operation: Drive to Live,” which is aimed at reducing the number of teen-related collisions in Johnston County.

In 2007, Johnston County led the state with 11 fatalities.

Troopers will conduct traffic safety education programs at the high schools.

The operation starts Monday at 6 a.m. and last until Friday, Oct. 17, at 5 p.m.
