Fayetteville, N.C. — Fayetteville police identified a pedestrian killed in a wreck on Gillespie Street a week ago.
Investigators said Dianna Peoples, 49, of Oak Island, stepped out into the roadway and was struck by an oncoming semi-tractor trailer around 10:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3. She was flown to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill to be treated for critical injuries.
Police said that Peoples died at the hospital Monday, Oct. 6.
Officers have not filed charges against the tractor-trailer driver.
