Teams searching for a missing Granville County mother will expand their search to parts of Durham and Person counties, family members said Wednesday.

Pat Currin, father of Kelly Morris, said that in the month since his daughter was last seen, teams have covered much of Granville County. The volunteers will cast a wider net beginning Wednesday.

Morris, 28, was last seen on the night of Sept. 3 by her husband, Scott, and children at their home at 3220 Tump Wilkins Road in Stem.

The next day, authorities found her car and personal belongings in an undeveloped subdivision about a mile from the home, shortly after firefighters responded to a fire at the residence.

Investigators believe the fire was set and do not believe Morris was at home at the time.

Kelly Morris’ family is offering a $30,000 reward for information that leads to finding her.

On Wednesday, Gov. Mike Easley added $5,000 to that total.

Family members say they will not stop searching and urge anyone with any information to contact Granville County sheriff's investigators at 919-693-3213 or a volunteer search line at 919-812-2310.

I am sorry - but there is no need to report on this everyday - all that can be said is that "She is STILL missing" . After that, what is there left to say? The Cooper case is a little different - there are active developments, and a custody case related to the case, currently in process. I certainly hope this lovely lady is found safe and sound.

Yeahp, its the "Nancy Cooper News Hour" on WRAL - another story on the front page.

But sadly, no mention of Kelly.....WRAL and its producers are doing a sorry job with this story.

I'm sorry to say that's the case for all the news channels! WTVD only talks/interviews the uneducated folks with no teeth that live in Durham to portray a bad image. If you don't watch WTVD, watch it for a couple of days and you will see what I'm talking about. At least WRAL doesn't do that! LOL

knowthefacts i couldnt agree more......i have watch WRAL all my life, and its dissappointing!

Kelly and Scott do not have the Cary zip code, that's why the story is not updated. It's really bad that only the "upscale" folks get all the attention.
