Give Hunter a break! You don't know her therefore you can't say anything bad about her. Yeah, she made a mistake but so has everyone else so why is everyone picking on her?? You guys should get a life and stop bashing her because she is already being punished enough for it. You don't go to her school and you don't know how much it has affected the school and her family so instead of making fun of her and her mistakes why don't you sympathyze for her and pray for her. Put yourself in Hunter's shoes.. would you want people to post hundreds of comments about this or would you want them to pray for you?... just treat her how you would want to be treated. She's a really sweet girl and yeah she messed up but she still is a human being and deserves to be treated like one... not to just be laughed at. Just please if you don't have anything nice to say, don't post it because you are the one that ends up looking like the "bad" one.

Panther.....WHY do you think she should be in jail for 8 years? (BTW, the news said up to 6 years.)

I think you were watching "the other" news channel. WRAL did not show this story. Commentor5 September 24, 2008 5:21 p.m.

Well, considering that the ONLY news I watch is WRAL, I have no doubt that I saw the story on there last night. Actually, it was TIVO'd because I wastched something else until after 11. We record WRAL news every night.

ok put her in jail for 8 years? seriously?? put her in jail for 8 years and you have basically ruined a girl's life. you punish her but you do not put the girl in jail. This girl just made a bad decision and she can learn from it. She is young and can still make something of herself if she picks herself up from this and does not do it again. 8 years behind bars I believe could very easily ruin her life because there is no telling what mess she could run into if she is put in jail. She could come out worse than better. She made a mistake on a big level and everyone makes mistakes some bigger than others. She is young and I believe will learn from this and can make something of herself. Give her a second chance!!!

According to the other news channel, she had a court date today and it was said that she faces up to 6 years in prison.....I bet that makes your day, doesn't it Data?!

I agree that she needs to be punished, but that's too harsh! WRONG I thinks she should spend every minute of 8 years in jail .
