A Crime Stoppers tip led police to a man wanted for robbing a Domino's Pizza deliveryman at gunpoint in August.

Police officers arrested Tarrio Tremaine Hemmingway, 21, of Dorothy Street, at Truman and Wabash streets on Saturday morning.

Hemmingway was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon for the Aug. 16 holdup. He was also wanted on unrelated charges of identity theft and drug possession.

Hemmingway was being held in the Durham County Jail under a $280,000 bond.

Hemingway served eight months in 2006 and 2007 for felony breaking-and-entering, according to state Department of Correction records. He was given probation after convictions for disorderly conduct in April 2006 and wanton injury to a person or property in March 2004.

Due to the nature of his crimes and the fact he is a repeater of violent crimes, the DA should be charging him with Habitual Felon and keeping him locked up far away from society for a long time. He needs to have grey hairs before he gets another chance to be a free man.

This person needed to get a job instead of robbing someone trying to earn a buck. His parents should be ashamed of the job they didn't do raising their son.

Another career criminal that needs to go away for a long time before he kills someone.

This is why we have illegals in this country..because this young man would not do the work they are doing. He found it easier to rob pizza delivery workers for his income.

He just wanted a roof over his head and three squares, winter is coming likely as not he will be out by spring.
