Fire destroys Raleigh condos

Raleigh, N.C. — A fire ripped through a condo building in Raleigh Thursday evening.

It happened at about 6:30 p.m. at the Cedar Hill Condominiums at 5063 Tall Pines Court.

Two units on the upper floor were destroyed, fire investigators said. Another unit sustained water damage.

The fire displaced 10 people. No one was injured.

Investigators said the was an accident.

Those condos are just off Millbrook Road near Quail Corners and are roughly 35 years old. I grew up right down the street from them and recall them being built way back in the day. They aren't the best built in the world and it's a good thing that all ten people involved escaped without injuries.
