Raleigh, N.C. — A licensed bail bondswoman has been charged with taking money from the family of an illegal immigrant by promising she could remove a federal immigration detainer, authorities said Monday.
State Department of Insurance investigators arrested Milagros Cuevas Dross, 52, of 206 Wyndham Drive in Garner on Saturday and charged her with one count of obtaining property by false pretense.
Investigators said Dross told the brother of a man being held in the Chatham County Jail under an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer that she could get the man released if she was paid a $4,000 cash bond. She knew that such a release wasn't possible, but took the brother's money and later refused to refund the bond, investigators said.

No law enforcement officers and their gas guzzling vehicles, no over-priced communications systems, no jails, prisons or "correctional institutions", no corrections officers and no more ineffective probation and parole officers.
Think of the savings to the taxpayer.
Not cheaper to keep her!
