Carrboro, N.C. — The body of a missing Orange County man was found near Jordan Lake in Chatham County Friday night, investigators said.
A Silver Alert was issued last month for 20-year-old Joshua McCabe Bailey. He was last seen on Weaver Street in Carrboro on July 21, officers said.
Bailey was believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
The state Chief Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy on Bailey's body Saturday.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has not commented the new developments in the case.
