Wilson, N.C. — A Wilson woman has been charged with embezzling approximately $20,000 from an area health-care provider.
Trameekque Suggs Applewhite was arrested and charged with embezzlement Monday after an internal investigation found inconsistencies in bookkeeping records at Carolina Family Health Centers, Wilson police said.
Applewhite, an employee, was responsible for making banking deposits for the organization. It was not immediately clear if she is still employed at the organization.
