Durham, N.C. — A 59-year-old man was arrested for the shooting death of a Durham store owner on Saturday afternoon, police said.
Barry Wayne Kaalund faces murder charges in the death of Ronnie Sturdivant, owner of Urban Merchants, at 605 West Chapel Hill St.
Officers responding to a call about gunshots around 4:30 p.m. found Sturdivant lying on the basement floor of his store. Sturdivant had been shot several times and was pronounced dead at the scene.
