Chapel Hill, N.C. — Chapel Hill police reported another forcible break-in Tuesday, bringing the total in the past 10 days to nine. Some time during the day Tuesday, a home was broken into at 1660 martin Luther King Blvd.
Police reported three homes entered by force during daylight hours on Monday – at 122 Taylor St., 116 Justice St. and 2101 Old Oxford Road East.
Eight of the nine break-ins have been in the north part of town. The outlier is a break-in at 202 Howell St., south of the University of Carolina campus.
Police have not commented on whether the crimes might be related.
