A 22-year-old man was fatally shot during a large party at a house southwest of Dunn early Sunday, according to the Harnett County Sheriff's Office.

Akeem Juan Jones, of Dunn, got into an altercation with other people during the party at 139 Bears Lane around 1:40 a.m., said Maj. Gary McNeil.

Jones was shot during the fight, and family members took him to Betsy Johnson Hospital, McNeil said. Doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.

While Jones was at the hospital, a large number of people gathered outside it, McNeil said. He did not have an estimate of how many.

Investigators do not have any suspects and have not established a motive. They could not confirm if the shooting or gathering were gang related.

Anyone with information about the case should contact the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office at 910-893-9111.

EVERYONE WOULD START TALKING WHEN THEY ARE ALL HELD LIBIABLE FOR THE SHOOTING.. THEY WOULD START TALKING REAL FAST WHEN IT IS THEIER BEHINDS ABOUT TO GO TO JAIL FOR IT..SOMEONE KNOWSW WHO PULLED THE TRIGGER AND WHY

Ain't no party like a Dunn house party!

Usually, when someone gets shot at a home, there will be other illegal items involved, if the cops have the right to search the premises properly. If no one talks, take down everyone you can with everything you can find. And take them down hard!

No Snitching!

So no one knows what happened? Typical...
