Durham, N.C. — A Raleigh man has been charged with careless and reckless driving after state Highway Patrol troopers said he fell asleep at the wheel early Friday morning.
Tamunotonye Adoki, 22, was traveling east on Leesville Road in Durham County when his mini-van veered off the road and hit a tree, Trooper Michael Potts said.
Crews had to cut Adoki out of the vehicle. He was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
