Four sought in Garner home invasion

e-mail print friendly

Police were searching Monday for four men in a late Sunday home invasion and robbery.

The armed men waited for a homeowner on Water Lilly Way to disarm a security system and then rushed in behind her, police said. She was tied up in a bedroom, and the men also tied up her husband when he came home about 10 minutes later, police said.

The men stole an undisclosed amount of cash, some jewelry and a red 2008 Toyota Highlander with North Carolina license 5664AT.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Garner Police Department.

Were the 4 men white, black, hispanic? Some general description would help people who might see them. The car was described, but not the robbers. Should I be looking for a red Highlander, or 4 invisible men.

Sounds to me like they knew the people they were robbing. I'd think there are other houses they could try instead of waiting for the owners, and knowing there was a security system.

I want to ask why they do not provide more info about the robbers? They must have some bit of a description of them. How can they expect results if they are afraid to give a description. Tall, short, fat, skinny, white, asian, middle eastern....... come on!!!!!!

oops, misread about that being the owners Highlander....I was thinking (probably wrong) that our license plates all started with 3 letters instead of numbers? of course, I don't even know my own license plate number

badmonkey, "can't be the right license number unless its a specialty plate...and if they know the license # they should know who owns the car...."

They stole the owner's Highlander.
