Site SearchRaleigh, N.C. — Police opened a homicide investigation after finding the body of a 26-year-old man in the 3000 block of Spanish Court early Saturday.
Officers responded to a call about a shooting along Spanish Court, off Dixie Trail and Wade Avenue, around 12:45 a.m., said Jim Sughrue, a spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department.
They found Jesse George "White Bread" Brunner deceased at the scene, Sughrue said. Brunner's body was located outdoors.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw suspicious people or vehicles in the area between 11 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday.
Anyone with information that might assist the investigation was asked to Raleigh police detectives at 919-890-3555 or 919-226-CRIME.
