James Pergerson, 32, of 400 Glen Allen Road brought his daughter to cape Fear Valley Medical Center, police said. Officers were called shortly before 9 a.m.
The girl reportedly shot herself in the leg after getting hold of a gun, police said. They did not disclose what type of weapon it was.
She was treated for the leg wound and later released from the hospital, police said.
Detectives were continuing to investigate, but the case was being treated as an accidental discharge of an unsecured weapon, police said.

Praying for this child, and praying someone keeps an eyes on her parents/guardians in the future...just to be very sure.
God bless.
