Eddie was a great man. Over 1,000 people were turned away at the funeral home last night and the church was past full today for the funeral. I personally didn't go, but my grandmother tried to and couldn't find a parking spot so did not go in.

This is a testiment to how he lived his life. He was loved and respected by ALOT of people. He was a good christian man who will be truly missed.

I knew Eddie through his brother. He was simply one of the most likable guys you would ever want to meet. I remember him taking us catfishing on one of the coldest days of the year. We had to build a fire at the lakeside it was so cold. He cooked some of the best venison steaks I have ever had. We did not catch too many fish that day, but the ones we did catch were huge. It is still one of my fondest fishing memories. He will be sorely missed. Please pray for the entire Vaughan family that they might find peace.

My family & I have been going to Kerr Lake for 10 years. We have known Eddie for several years. He was a very good hearted person. You could just sit and talk to him for hours. He just recently stopped us and some friends on Saturday night and he talked with the kids about being safe on the boats. He will be greatly missed. The Vaughn family and Wildlife have our deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers.

Very sad to hear this. Prayers to the family.

I knew Eddie too, He was a wonderul man, a great officer and a caring friend. I will miss him and I know his family and the entire Wildlife family will him too. God bless you Eddie.
