SPRING LAKE, N.C. — A Spring Lake man forced his way into a house on South Conner Circle on Thursday and threatened the residents there with a 2½-foot sword, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.

The victim told investigators that Richardson stole his cell phone.

Richardson was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $170,000 secured bond.
