A two-vehicle along N.C. Highway 42 in southern Wake County injured four adults and two children on Sunday morning.

The two vehicles collided head-on in the 2400 block of N.C. 42, at Johnny Baker Road, shortly before 10 a.m., state Trooper H.C. Ellefson said.

All six people were taken to local hospitals to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities blocked the two-lane road for about 30 minutes and directed traffic through the intersection.

The names of the victims and cause of the wreck have not been released.

Effleson said the investigation into the wreck continued into Sunday evening.

This doesn't suprise me at all, I live in this area and people around here do NOT know how to drive. Especially on HWY 42. They constantly are pulling out in front of people going 55-60mph and then going 35-45mph. I wish cops would give these jerks tickets for not knowing how to driving and driving UNDER the speed limit. I can't believe they spent all that money repaving 42, they should have widened it to 4 lanes from clayton to fuquay....So the idiots can stay in the right lane!
