A Louisburg teen was arrested Wednesday in connection with the disappearance of a  14-year-old girl who was found Tuesday.

Charles Kelton Sumner, 16, of 2842 NC 98 West, was charged with resisting a public officer and contributing to delinquency of a juvenile.

Sumner may have assisted in helping Kali Elizabeth Norris, 14, leave home and then hiding at his residence, police said.

Norris went missing last Thursday and was found on Tuesday afternoon.

Sumner was being held under a $16,000 bond at the Franklin County Jail.

Police said that because Norris is a juvenile, they would not disclose any details about the relationship between the two or where Norris was found.

not-today.......Speak for yourself. If you want to address yourself as a 'hick' that is just fine, however there are people who live in that county that are very well educated and just enjoy the peacefulness and are NOT classified as 'hicks'. From what I understand her parents are very involved in the church and there was a neurological deficit in question. Both kids need to be reprimanded and put on probation.

Teenagers.

I don't know the details, but if a I had a 14 y/o girl that ran away, I wouldn't want her friends to turn her away so she can wander the streets. But I hope they'd make an effort to let me know she was okay.

some kids help others that are being hurt at home by taking them in. this boy did nothing wrong.

These are kids. Kids make mistakes. Charging this boy? Don't they have more important fish to fry?
