Raleigh police say a man tried to lure an 8-year-old girl into his car.

It happened Monday afternoon at the intersection of Southgate Drive and Purple Garnet Way.

Investigators said the man offered the girl cookies if she wold get in his car.

The girl described the man as African-American in his 20's or 30's, wearing a black baseball cap with a white letter "B" on the front. He was also reportedly driving a silver car.

It sure is lot of PC detectives on here.sww1rb:I agree with you.

Seems a little too convenient. I'll wait for more info on this one.

Ridenin around on that free gas given out yesterday.

Scary thought pixie.

I hope they catch this perverted perp asap before he has a chance to hurt some innocent young person. Who knows how many times he's already done or tried to do this type of thing. Very disturbing...

It's too bad the police don't have a decoy officer that looks eight years old.
