Lillington, N.C. — State inspectors shut down the adoption portion of the Harnett County Animal Control building Wednesday.
The area failed inspection because there aren't walls between pet holding areas.
The animals offered for adoption are temporarily being housed with those that have been captured while the county tries to come up with money to renovate the adoption area.
