Cumberland County deputies charged two alleged members of the Get Money Clique street gang in a home break-in on Thursday.

A witness reported seeing two young men trying to get into a home at 1327 Ainsley Drive in the Legion Hills subdivision around 12:30 p.m.

Deputies arrived to see the alleged burglars – identified as Troy Edward Jenkins, 18, of 2919 Peacock St. in Hope Mills, and Devon Lee Harrison, 16, of 205 Tarpin Court in Fayetteville – jumping a fence and fleeing the scene.

The two carried away a large-screen plasma television and a purse, detectives said.

Deputies chased Jenkins and Harrison and caught them in a wooded area behind the subdivision. They also recovered the stolen goods, deputies said.

Jenkins and Harrison face charges of breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering.

They were being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center Thursday evening, and their bond had not yet been set.

Harrison was given a year's probation in late February on charges of receiving goods stemming from a Nov. 4, 2007, incident, according to Department of Correction records.

Detectives said both Harrison and Jenkins are members of GMC, a local gang that has been around since about 2001. There are about 40 known members of the gang, which was once known as Pimp Squad.

Bring back our good soldiers and send the get money gang to Irag!

"Get Money"..LOL that was 13yrs ago. I think the media(radio,tv, ect.) has little to do with it. If so, none of us would have even lived long enough to even be on the internet right now due to an overwhelming amount of people trying to imitate one of the many bad movies of the 80's and 90's. Stupidity has everything to do with it. Lock them up, lose the keys.

I like the statement in the article "alleged" thief. Not much alleged about coming out of someone's house with a purse that is not yours and a huge plasma screen tv and you running away from the police. But as one poster on here put it, some court appointed attorney will get them off on a technicality and they will be back out on the streets on "probabation" to "allegedly" rob again. Too many excuses have been made. Blame it on lack of parenting, lack of education, too much rap music, the economy, and on and on. What it boils down to is this: there comes a point in time in every person's life where they have to take responsibility for their own actions irregardless of what their family life has been or what their social standing is. These chose an unfortunate path that will lead to their own destruction and they will take others down with them. Until they own up to their responsibility in their life, they will go no where but down

Recession? Nah...just poor stupid kids doing all they know how, and that is stealing from others...blame bad/lack of parenting...

"Thats so true, most of them in fact are even college educated" -hmmm... those must not be the ones that make it to the radio. I'd really have to see some statistics on that. The word "most" should be replaced with "a handful".
