Carrboro, N.C. — Firefighters battled an early Saturday morning blaze in Carrboro.
The fire broke out about midnight in a single-family, two-story home in the 1600 block of Pathway Drive. Firefighters from Carrboro, Chapel Hill and New Hope responded.
Crews brought the fire under control in about 45 minutes. There were no reports of injuries from the fire.
The blaze started shortly after a thunderstorm pounded Carrboro and Chapel Hill with hail and lightning.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. Flames appeared only in the top portions of the house, however.
