Siler City, N.C. — A Siler City man faces felony charges in an accident on SS Edwards Road on Monday.
Joe Climon Fox, 40, of 371 Airport Road, has been charged with felonious assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.
Fox was driving southbound on SS Edwards Road when police said his vehicle left the roadway striking Willie Douglas Johnson and a fence post. Johnson was transported to Chatham Hospital and then to UNC-Chapel Hill Hospital for serious injuries.
Fox was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Pittsboro District Court on June 2.
