Postal inspectors investigate undelivered mail

The U.S. Postal Service is investigating an allegation that mail wasn't delivered in the Apex area for some time, authorities said Wednesday.

Deborah Yackley, a spokeswoman for the Postal Service, declined to say how much mail went undelivered or the time frame the case covered.

Sounds like the Knightdale post office as well. I am glad I don't live in Knightdale anymore.

Sounds like the Louisburg Post Office. They must get their help from Louisburg College. Last week, we got 12 pieces of mail from December 13.

Chimi, I agree the length and detail given is just too much. WRAL should strive to give just the facts and no more.

We live in Morrisville - we moved in January to a new home in Morrisville and it took the Post Office almost a month to start mail delivery at our new home - when I stopped by the Post Office to see what was up they found all of our mail, even forwarded mail, in a box for houses under construction???? Go figure. If I had not asked I wonder how long it would take for them to realize the house was finished and people living in it? I love the folks at the Morrisville Post Office, but this was pretty odd... Hope they get the Apex PO straightened out.
