Fired trooper wants to regain certification

e-mail print friendly
Trooper Scott Harrison
Trooper Scott Harrison

A former Highway Patrol trooper on Wednesday sought to have his law enforcement certification reinstated.

Scott Harrison was dismissed from the Highway Patrol last year after he was accused of profiling young women for late-night traffic stops and a judge found him "unworthy of belief."

Dozens of cases in which Harrison was the arresting officer had to be thrown out because his credibility as a witness was destroyed.

Harrison made his case in a Wednesday hearing for allowing him to regain his certification and continue to work in the law enforcement field. No decision was made.

BTW, Harrison never lost his certification in law enforcement. Just another example of how the media doesn’t get the story right. It’s amazing how people condemn someone based on bias information.

Why is it that the people that have posted here are so quick to pass judjement, without proof of anything. The "hitting on women" was nothing more than an accusations comming from somone trying to get out of a dui. If you saw her apperiance on the news, even she didnt seem sure of her own claims. Harrison was one of the hardest working troopers in the state. He was top 5 for dui arrest, several years running. We owe him the respect that he deserves. It's lawenforcement like him that lessens the deth tole on our hiways. The news has a vendetta against Harrison. It was the media that cost Harrison is career. There should be a point at which the media would be responsible for its own actions.

Why, so you can harass other women..Don't think so...Go get a job as a bouncer at a strip club...

A judge found him "unworthy of belief." That says it all!

No Way, if he is reinstated women will be afraid to stop if they see a blue light for fear that it may be him, I would ,plus the fact he will never be belived in court again,I think he just needs to move on .
