Raleigh, N.C. — A former Highway Patrol trooper on Wednesday sought to have his law enforcement certification reinstated.
Scott Harrison was dismissed from the Highway Patrol last year after he was accused of profiling young women for late-night traffic stops and a judge found him "unworthy of belief."
Dozens of cases in which Harrison was the arresting officer had to be thrown out because his credibility as a witness was destroyed.
Harrison made his case in a Wednesday hearing for allowing him to regain his certification and continue to work in the law enforcement field. No decision was made.
