Cumberland Man Faces Child Porn Charges

Russell Biathrow, faces child porn charges

Cumberland County detectives have arrested a local man after finding child pornography on his home computer, authorities said Friday.

Russell Henry Biathrow, 49, of 1556 Tony Drive, was charged with one count each of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. He was being held Friday in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $10,000 secured bond.

Investigators were called to Biathrow's home on April 13 by his wife, who said she had been assaulted by her husband, authorities said. She told detectives the couple began arguing after she found him viewing child pornography.

A computer was seized from the home for examination, and detectives said it contained a large number of photos and videos depicting children engaged in sexual acts.

More charges are expected as the investigation continues, authorities said.
