CROP Hunger Walk Held in Orange County

People from all over the Triangle pounded the pavement Sunday to help fight hunger.

Participants of the 22nd annual CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) Walk made their way through the streets of Chapel Hill, Carrboro and the University of North Carolina campus.

Organizers hope to eclipse last year's total by raising at least $53,000.

Proceeds from the fundraiser go to the Church World Service, IFC's hunger-relief programs, Carrboro’s Emergency Food Pantry and the Chapel Hill Community Kitchen on Rosemary Street.
