Sampson Man Pleads Guilty to Poisoning Wife

print friendly

A Sampson County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for poisoning his wife to death.

Perry Bass pleaded guilty to murder in the 2005 death of his wife. He admitted he used a pesticide to kill her.

Prosecutors said he spiked her food with a chemical that's commonly used at hog farms.

As part of the plea, another murder charge and an attempted murder charge were dropped against Bass.

One of his sons died of poisoning in 2001. The year before that, his youngest son spent a month in the hospital after he was poisoned.

What the world was his problem? Just leave if you don't want to be there. No reason to try to wipe out all of your family.

This should've been top news along time ago. Are they not gonna get him for the other two poisonings?

No, no--that should be reap what you sow. See if you can find soe in your dictionary.

This guy was trying to wipe out his entire family.

...There is a reason for having a door or two on your house.
