Hollister, N.C. — Deputies were searching for a Hollister man they believe stabbed his wife on Sunday.
Investigators believe that Robert Lee Faison, 51, stabbed his wife in the shoulder and then dropped her off at the Halifax County EMS building in Hollister. EMS personnel treated the victim and transported her to the Halifax Regional Medical Center.
A motive for the stabbing has not been established, but a domestic-violence protective order was active against Faison.
Faison was charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, as well as violating a domestic-violence protective order.
Deputies described Faison as 6-foot-tall black man, weighing between 190 and 200 pounds. He was last seen driving a white 1999 Nissa Sentra with N.C. license plate number TTM-8815.
