Goldsboro, N.C. — Wayne County detectives have seized $80,000 in counterfeit clothes, DVDs and software from two Goldsboro businesses, authorities said Friday.
The bogus sports shoes, designer jeans, sweat suits, shirts, music recordings, DVDs and game system software was found at Hip Hop Spot, at 906-A N. Spence Ave., and Urban Collection, 906 E. Elm St., authorities said.
Arrest warrants have been issued charging Hip Hop Spot owner Ziad Assed Ismail with one felony count of criminal use of counterfeit trademarks and charging Urban Collection owner Corey Feliciane Lewis with one felony count each of possessing counterfeit video/DVD and illegal recording and distribution of recorded sounds.
Neither store owner was in custody Friday. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Detective Sgt. Ron Baker of the Wayne County Sheriff's Office at 919-731-1481 or Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 919-735-2255.
Sheriff Carey Winders has asked that all of the counterfeit merchandise be donated to charity after the criminal case is completed.
