Durham Man Wanted on Theft and Fraud Charges

Durham police are trying to locate a man wanted on more than two dozen theft and fraud charges.

Calvin Lewis Davis, 39, of Elizabeth Street, is charged with taking items from unoccupied offices and reception areas in businesses in the downtown Durham and Research Triangle Park area during the past two months.

Davis is accused of taking wallets and credit cards from purses in office areas and then using the credit cards to purchase gas and other items. He is also charged with taking laptop computers from several offices.

Charges against Davis also include several counts of felony larceny, misdemeanor larceny, financial card theft, obtaining property by false pretense and identity theft.
