Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh man was indicted Monday on a charge of second-degree murder in connection with a DWI crash that killed a Cary man earlier this month.
Police said Kenya Teveris Alston, 31, of 247 Big Oak St., was driving drunk on March 1 when he slammed into the back of Matthew Paul Kraft's car at more than 70 mph.
Kraft, 21, a waiter at a Cary's Chili's, died the next day at WakeMed.
Alston was also indicted on speeding to elude an officer, driving while impaired and hit and run.
He was still listed in the Wake County Jail Tuesday under a $530,000 secured bond.
