A lot times parents let the child get away with stuff and take up for them when they are little and when they becomes teenagers it becomes: he/she did not mean to do it. All kinds of excuses instead of being the parent. Many do not know how and don't want to learn if taught. Parents are responsible for their children; right or wrong.

Why so quick to charge the parents? You don't know his up bringing, you're assuming its bad. There would be a lot good parents with tarnished records if they did that. At the end of the day 16 year old is going to do what he wants to do. No matter how he was raised. He's not 8, 10, or even 12. He's old enough to deal with his consequences by his self.

This is a 16 year old kid. His identity should have been withheld. He is still a minor and innocent until proven guilty.

I am beginning to understand something. Charge the parents, because in my opinion, being underage they the parents should have known where he is and what he is doing. This young man is headed for prison. He did wrong but I feel he needs better parents. Lock the parents up for a few years in prison and find a good foster home and help him. If the courts start charging the parents maybe we will not see so much crime committed by young underage people.

charge the parents too............only 16 and already doing things this bad, go ahead an lock him up and let the state support him behind bars, cause that's sure where he headed with a record like this............!!!!!
