Kimberly Giles Rollick, charged with stealing from old lady

A Chatham County woman has been charged with stealing $92,000 from her elderly mother-in-law, authorities said.

Kimberly Giles Rollick, 41, of 2693 Bear Creek Church Road in Bear Creek, was charged with exploitation of an elder adult, embezzlement and obtaining property by false pretense. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court April 14.

Rollick is accused to taking more than $92,000 from an annuity fund account held by her 90-year-old mother-in-law, with whom she lived at the time. Investigators said they believe she depleted the account for her personal use without the mother-in-law’s knowledge or consent.

Iamforjustice- You may only know as much as you read but is is still your choice as a human being to read it and draw your conclusions and since we are apparently all aware that the article is not the whole story, we should also save the judgment. O and I have just recently graduated from high school as of this december. As for african americans only being in the slave chapter that is a completely incorrect fact. Maybe it was like that when you were in school, but things have been updated since then.

Rachel, Visit my profile again and let me know what happens. I hope all works out for your family.

My apologies to you but the anger comes reading what the reporters post. It is not that we are judemental but we only know as much as we read. And that plays a role in everyday life. Even in history books which is a bunch of lies because us African Americans are only mentioned in slavery chapter...but I digress. Again I am very sorry if I said anything to offend you but I really don't think I did and welcome to GOLO. I guess you can be an inspiration to us all.

Rachel, I hope your mother gets justice. I feel for what your family is going through. No we don't know the whole story. That is the biggest issue with the media. Bad news sales ads. Yes we are all jugemental when it comes to things like this. We all hate to see children or elderly taken advantage of. That is where the venom comes. I hope that you and your entire family can come to peace and understanding. It looks like you guys will have a long way to go.

...here is the rest of my fist comment...some older than my mother, She still has two young children at home who need her, while on the other hand my aunts have grown children, some older than my mother. Any judge who sentences her to jail would have to be blind and heartless.
