Site SearchHillsborough, N.C. — An unidentified man shot a teenager riding his scooter along Old N.C. Highway 86 Sunday morning, emergency workers said.
The shooting occurred at 4922 Old N.C. 86/Old Chapel Hill-Hillsborough Road, south of Hillsborough, around 8:15 a.m.
The 19-year-old man said he was riding his scooter when he heard a car pulled up beside him. A man inside the car then shot at him with a small gun, the victim told emergency workers.
The teenager suffered a gunshot wound in the leg.
Deputies were searching for a boxy, tan or brown car, possibly a Cadillac that was headed towards Chapel Hill.
