Fayetteville to Lift Ban on Outdoor Water Use

e-mail print friendly

The city will lift its ban on outdoor water use on Friday, officials said Thursday.

The move by the Fayetteville Public Works Commission will allow customers to wash cars and pressure wash building exteriors.

Water customers are still restricted to watering their lawns with sprinklers two days a week. People with even-number addressed can use sprinklers on Wednesdays and Saturdays, while those with odd-number addresses can water on Thursdays and Sundays. Watering with a hand-held hose can be done any day.

If we still have a water shortage, then I wonder why are they lifting the ban? Arent we still at -9 inch of what we need?

yipee!! I can wash my car again!!

What about Aqua customers? They used to post restrictions on their NC website, nothing mentioned today.

Didn't know there were restrictions. WRAL must not have reported it.
